The blog will be quiet for the next 3 to 5 days as I prepare for my move to Wisconsin on Monday. I will be back just as soon as possible with an update and maybe some pics or even my first ever vlog ( video blog) about all that has happened.
If you go to WWC I hope you will make it to church on Sunday. It will be my last chance to see everyone for awhile and we would love the opportunity to say goodbye to you. Please try to make it to one of our services and if you can stay for the lunch that is planned afterwards that would be awesome as well.
It’s weird to think that we only have tonight and tomorrow in our home. We have loved this house and believe God will bring us a buyer for it very soon. Please keep praying that it sells quickly and that there are no complications in the process.
I want to thank everyone for all the kind words my family and I have received over the last few months and especially the last week. Everyone has been extremely kind to us and has expressed how much they will miss us. It means a lot. It helps us leave with smiles on our faces knowing that the Lord allowed us to have an impact on peoples lives here. I have no doubt Pastor Don will pick right up where I’ve left off and continue to move WWC forward so that the Kingdom can keep being built in Missouri.
I’m also very thankful for our good friends Erik and Deb Stosz who are taking the time to help us move to Wisconsin. They will be our escorts and will be hanging with us for most of our first week there to help us get settled in. It’s nice to have such awesome friends. Of course we’ll see how much they still like us when the week is over.
Its been a great 3 years being Apple only in both my cell phone and computer as well as our church campus being run by nothing but mac’s. Unfortunately for now that part of my life is coming to an end because AT&T is not offered where we are moving and the church uses PC’s. Oh well. I will just have to educate everyone up there slowly about Mac’s and how they are truly the light side of the force.
This morning Paige received the shots she needed in order to be able to enroll for Kindergarten. It feels like it was just yesterday when I held her in my arms for the first time and now she is getting ready to start school. Time truly goes all too fast. She was only 2 weeks old when we moved here and now a whole new journey is getting ready to start for her and us. It’s exciting and sad all at the same time. Let the soccer practice and PTA meetings begin!
Finally, starting MONDAY I will have a new email address. You can email me at rakers@sandlakechurch.org. That begins Monday although I figured out how to check it now. So if you want to start emailing me there now you may do that and I will make sure to check it. Please don’t wait to update your address book as I won’t have my old email address forever.
Well God bless and I guess I need to get used to saying this, “GO PACKERS”!!!!!!!!
